The Laboratory for Immunological and Molecular Cancer Research is a new institution of the County of Salzburg at the IIIrd Medical Department of Oncology, Hematology, Hemostaseology, Rheumatology and Infectiology at the University Hospital Salzburg. This research facility under the leadership of Univ. Prof. Dr. Richard Greil has opened its doors in January 2005. The research focus of this institution is dedicated to basic and translational research in the field of leukemia and lymphoma. It is equipped with modernst technology and accomodates four research groups. By integration of this research institution into the clinical department of the University Hospital Salzburg new results from the bench should translate in a faster way into clinical application.
